GTO Engineering confirms UK team, Squalo models and 250 TR Revival presence during Monterey Car Week

GTO Engineering’s team has been busy working behind the scenes on its impressive Squalo engineering developments, commercial operations, and Revival builds. It is proud to confirm both its UK and USA teams will attend the duration of Monterey Car Week and display three half-scale Squalo models and a bespoke 250 TR Revival build, at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, in conjunction with USA dealer, O’Gara.

The upcoming Monterey Car Week is a stand-out date in the calendar for all car collectors, Concours entrants and luxury lifestyle-oriented car aficionados. Offering a range of festivities, from the prestigious event at The Quail Lodge to the free to display Exotics on Broadway, the 2022 edition is confirmed to be a Car Week to remember as travel opens for a range of countries around the world, including for UK-headquartered GTO Engineering.

The long-standing Ferrari-orientated specialist GTO Engineering was formed by Mark Lyon in 1991. Since Mark’s unexpected passing in Spring of 2022, the team has come together to form a tighter commercial and engineering programme, led by Operations Manager Charleen Strong, and Sales and Parts Manager, Vern Lyon. Working in the background on all aspects of the business, GTO Engineering recently confirmed the development for Squalo was well underway, with images of its revolutionary Squalo carbon fibre monocoque launched last month, and its in-house created, naturally aspirated V12 engine continuing to make strides in development and pre-production scheduling for building.

Alongside its Squalo development progress, the sales arm of GTO Engineering has grown, with the appointment of Louis Scott as Senior Vehicle Sales Executive, as well as working with USA-based O’Gara, which operates from multiple USA-based dealerships. The GTO Engineering commercial, sales and engineering heads are confirmed to attend for the duration of Car Week, a first for the UK-headquartered firm, to attend on such a large scale.

On display on O’Gara’s stand during The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering (19 August 2022), visitors will see three GTO Engineering Squalo models, each in individual colourways and specifications, showing the power of possibility the firm has to tailor the Squalo to each customer’s desire. The three half-scale models will sit alongside a bespoke 250 TR Revival build, made specifically for O’Gara, which is also available to purchase, beating the current three-year Revival waitlist. Created for O’Gara and its team’s exacting specifications, the 250 TR Revival is specified in green over tan, and is sure to turn heads on O’Gara’s stand at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering.
